Hi Everyone!
Here are art lessons for each grade level to work on while we're home during the next few weeks. I'm really going to miss seeing everyone at school but I'm looking forward to seeing what art you make at home.
Feel free to email me photos of what you make, or upload directly to Artsonia by clicking here. This is our school access code: KSMF-WNRD

Wednesday Journal Design an Ad Contest
Students will receive a form with the name of a local business and will need to create an advertisement for that business.
In the advertising industry, designers do not often get to choose which businesses they will work with.
The ads must be done in black & white- using black pen. Ads in pencil or colored markers won't reproduce well in the paper.
The ads will be judged according to neatness, creative and/or funny, and that they make people feel good and want to shop at the business.
All entries should be finished and ready for pick up Monday, MARCH 2ND
Please make sure all business information is clearly and correctly present inside the drawing space on each entry form. Also, any text should be as clear and big as possible. The ad should clearly state the name, address and phone number.
During the weeks of March 9th and 16th, advertisers will review the ads and decide which, if any, they would like to run in the newspaper. We will also have an internal judging contest and publish our favorite designs.
Contests entries should NOT include special offers or discounts (i.e. Buy One, Get One Free), as these make the ad unlikely to be chosen for publication by the business.

We will publish the name, grade, and school of each artist published. Therefore, please make sure students write their names clearly on the entry forms.
The "Design An Ad" section will be published March 25th.
